In a significant development for Australian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Cowbell, a leader in adaptive cyber and specialty insurance solutions, has partnered with Zurich Australian Insurance Ltd to launch 'Prime One'.
This innovative cyber insurance programme is tailored for SMEs with annual turnovers up to A$100 million, offering swift and comprehensive digital risk protection.

Prime One stands out by leveraging artificial intelligence to streamline the insurance process. Policies can be quoted, bound, and issued in under five minutes, providing businesses with rapid access to coverage. This efficiency is particularly beneficial for SMEs seeking to mitigate the growing threats in the digital landscape.

Beyond speed, Prime One offers ongoing AI-driven risk assessments and tailored insights. By analysing vast data points, the programme benchmarks an organisation's cyber posture, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending improvements. Additionally, Cowbell's cyber resiliency services, including micro penetration testing, training, and vendor risk management, equip businesses with tools to enhance their cyber defences.

Alex Morgan, Zurich's Head of General Insurance, emphasised the importance of this initiative: 'As the threat and complexity of cyber risk continues to grow, it is now more important than ever for business owners to have access to insights, expertise, and tools to improve their protection and resilience in a simple and efficient way.'

Available through licensed insurance brokers, Prime One combines Zurich's financial strength and local presence with Cowbell's AI-powered underwriting platform and in-house claims capabilities. This collaboration aims to provide Australian SMEs with a straightforward and adaptive solution to their evolving digital risks.

For home-based service providers, the introduction of Prime One offers a timely opportunity to reassess and bolster their cyber insurance coverage. In an era where digital threats are increasingly sophisticated, having a policy that adapts to emerging risks is crucial. Engaging with insurance brokers to explore such AI-driven solutions can ensure that businesses remain resilient against cyber incidents.
